Since Netanya is a relatively young city, founded in 1928-1929, you won't find ancient archaeological sites here. However, in the nearby area, you can visit the museum city of Caesarea and explore ancient public baths, the amphitheater, the famous ruins of the "Palace on the Reef," as well as fragments of ancient streets and house walls.
If you have an interest in museums and history, be sure to visit the following in Netanya: the Jewish Legion Museum, the Yemen Folklore Center, the Museum of Archaeology, Nature and Art, the Netanya Cultural Center, the City Gallery on the Shaked Promenade, the Ohel Shem House of Culture, the Museum of the Heritage of Yemenite Jewry, and the Jewish Brigade Museum.
Within the city itself, you'll discover Netanya's oldest synagogue, Shone Alahot, and the Beit Haber Museum, which tells the story of the small citrus farm where the city had its beginnings.
For nature enthusiasts, there's the Utopia Orchid and Butterfly Park, the Agamon Ahula Bike Park, the Poleg, Shlulit, Irusim nature reserves, and the Parrot Farm. You can also enjoy the hot springs of Hamey Gaash.
