Catania: map of the city, main districts and tourist places

If you came to the city just for a couple of days, choose an area in the center of Catania, near the Cathedral of Sant'Agata, Duomo Square, the University of Catania in Via Etnea. Almost all hotels here are located in stone buildings of XVIII century.

Among the areas of Catania, where it is better to live tourists who have chosen the third option is the area near the central railway station and bus station. You can walk to the bus stops to any destination in just 10 minutes.

Dangerous areas in Catania are two. One is near the Fish Market, where crowds of immigrants are constantly roaming. The other is near the Theater Massimo Bellini, where in the evenings the local bums, hoodlums and "night butterflies" gather.
