The long-awaited Gulf of Gaeta coastline can be reached by bus or train, either from Naples or Rome. Take the Rome-Naples electric train to Formia station, just 20 minutes from Gaeta.
Trains run regularly every hour and the travel time is less than 60 minutes. From Formia station you take a regular city bus which will take you to Gaeta in 15 minutes or you can take a taxi which will cost you around 15€.
