The most picturesque views during the walking route along Positano will open up to you on the Path of the Gods. The breathtaking rocky coast, which surrounds the azure sky of the sea, makes you freeze in silence for a couple of minutes from unprecedented beauty and power.
The Path of the Gods, or Sentiero Degli Dei, connects the resort of Positano with the small settlement of Praino. You need to be brave enough to master this route along Positano, as the height of the cliffs sometimes reaches 300 meters.
There are several ways to start the Positano walk on the Path of the Gods.
Option number 1: first get to the village of Bomerano by local bus, from there to the Path of the Gods. Bus timetables can be found at the following resource. The route starts from the central square (633 meters above sea level) and ends in the small village of Nocelle (430 meters above sea level). The total length of the route is 7 km, calmly, with stops for photos, spend 2–2.5 hours. You can continue walking from Nocelle to Montepertuso, add another 2 km to the total length.
Option number 2: leave Praino, preferably early in the morning, and on the way look at the monastery of San Domenico.
The route is not difficult, but very beautiful. You can bring children with you, but be sure to keep an eye on them. We recommend sports and comfortable footwear. Be sure to stock up on drinking water.
