Beach volleyball, yachting, banana boat rides, snorkeling and other water-based activities can be found in Positano at Spiaggia Grande, which is considered the central beach. However, this beach is always crowded with holidaymakers.
On the other hand, the beach at Spiaggia del Fornillo, although further away from the town, offers excellent snorkelling and diving. It is also home to the Positano diving centre.
