Travelers who can't imagine a real vacation without long sea swims have found exactly what they’ve been looking for — the resort of Positano is simply perfect for water activities. The temperature of the Tyrrhenian Sea warms up to +20°C as early as April–May.
In summer, the sea temperature off the coast of Positano reaches +27°C, which is almost equal to the air temperature. During the velvet season, you can still swim comfortably in September and October at +20°C, and some tourists even dare to take a dip in November–December. They can't really be called polar swimmers, as the water remains fairly warm — but they are definitely hardy individuals.
