When using public transportation in Viareggio, remember that bus tickets must be purchased in advance at kiosks located at the bus stops (cost is around 1 EUR). Enter the bus through the rear door and exit through the middle door. Remember to validate your ticket inside the bus.
Fare Costs
If you wish to travel by taxi, experienced tourists advise agreeing on the fare in advance, despite the presence of meters in the cars. The standard taxi fare is 4 EUR for the initial charge and 0.8 EUR per kilometer traveled. Prices may be higher during nighttime.
