Water Temperature in Viareggio
The water in the resort is transparent and clean, and often you can observe marine creatures from the pier or from the deck of a rented yacht.
During the "high" tourist season (July-September), the water temperature in the Ligurian Sea ranges from +23 to 25°C. In June and October, it is slightly lower but still comfortable for swimming. In winter, the temperature of the Ligurian Sea in this area does not exceed +13 to 15°C.
The tides in the Ligurian Sea are not very pronounced, with the water rising and receding by no more than a meter.
