Valencia's Manises International Airport is the eighth largest airport in Spain. The air terminal has a passenger traffic of 5 million people.
How to get to the city center
The air terminal is located 8 kilometers from Valencia. You can get into the city by metro or bus. By cab, shuttle or rental car, you can get into the city in 20-25 minutes.
Public Transportation
The public transportation to the city is bus and metro. The bus station is located next to the terminal exit.
Bus
Bus #150 will take you to the historic center of Valencia, the old town. The final station is Avenida Baron de Carcer. For routes and exact timetables, see the site.
Trip time: 25 to 30 minutes.
Operation schedule: all days from 05:30 to 23:30, except Sundays and holidays. The bus runs every 26 minutes.
Fare: 1,45 EUR. You can buy a ticket from the driver.
Aerobus Shuttle
The shuttle is also a convenient way to get into the city. It goes to the central area of the city. The stop is called Valencia Nord Station.
Trip time: 25 minutes.
Schedule: from 06:00 to 22:00 every 20 minutes.
Fare: 2,5 EUR. You can buy a ticket from the driver.
Metro
To get to the center, take the green line "Maritim-Serreria" or the red line "Rafelbunyol". The metro does not go to the old part of the city. The final stop is the train station in the city center.
Where to find: There is an escalator near the terminal exit - it leads to the station.
Operation schedule: from 05:30 to 00:00, runs every 20 minutes. See the schedule here. Travel time: 20 minutes.
Where to buy a ticket: at the station in a vending machine or at airport ticket kiosks.
Fare: if you are going to the city, the ticket will cost you 3.9 EUR. A round-trip ticket costs 7.4 EUR. In the suburbs it will take longer to get there, so the price will be higher. Transfer
If you don't want to look for a cab or take public transportation, use a shuttle service. You can book it on various services, including KiwiTaxi.
Cost: from 70 EUR for four passengers.
Taxi
There is no public transportation from the airport at night. The site provides a list of official cab services that run from the airport. Parking is available near the terminal exit.
Cost: the average fare is 20 EUR.
Car rental
The most expensive but very convenient way to get around. To rent a car, you need to have an international driver's license, the necessary amount (from 200 EUR) of deposit on the card. This amount is blocked during the rental period.
Car rental desks are located at the airport or can be booked online at a website (e.g. rentalcars).
Cost: from 23 EUR per day for an economy car.
How to get to the bus and train station
To the bus station (Terminal de Pasajeros de Valencia), which is located at Avenida Norte Sur 71, you can get by cab. This mode of transportation is described in the previous block of this article.
