Shopping in Valencia

Valencia is rich in shopping centers, boutiques and markets. Believe me, you'll have plenty to do.

Despite the lack of traditional outlet malls near Valencia, shopping in this city is very rewarding. Some of the largest shopping centers in Valencia include:

Aqua Multiespacio (Avenida Menorca, 19) - more than 100 markets and boutiques offering democratic brands (Bershka, HM, Sfera, Pull & Bear, Zara, Mango, Stradivarius).

Nuevo centro (Avenida Pio XII) - 200 boutiques and outlets (including mid-range and budget brands). It is located in the city center and is open all week except Sunday.

Centro Comercial Saler (Autopista del Saler, 16) - 100 stores (Adidas, Zara, Desigual, Bershka, Mango, Massimo Dutti, Springfield, etc.), a supermarket, a play area for children, a restaurant court.

Bonaire - this is home to a wide variety of stores, including some of the best outlet stores in Valencia. The mall is located at the exit of the city and is open from 9:00 to 22:00..

El Corte Ingles is the representative of the Spanish chain of shopping centers in Valencia. On several floors of the department store are boutiques selling perfumes, fashion clothing, interior design and interior design items. There are also restaurants, cafes and a grocery supermarket. Prices range from moderate to "biting", for example, in Armani, Carolina Herrera or Ralph Lauren boutiques.

No Valencia shopping review is without advice to visit the city's main shopping districts, such as the Barrio del Carmen, where you'll find Komomolo, Sixty Nine Shop, Custo Barcelona and Prada. Calle Poeta Querol and Calle Paz are full of luxury boutiques (Roberto Cavalli, Miu Miu, Ermenegildo Zegna, Louis Vuitton, Loewe, Hugo Boss, Balenciaga and others).

It's hard to ignore the local markets - El Mercado Central (fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, wines, jamon and other goodies at reasonable prices, open from 7:00 to 15:00) or the Sunday market at Plaza Redonda (better to go here for souvenirs).

There are seasonal sales to make your Valencia shopping trip more worthwhile. The first starts at the end of January and lasts until the beginning of February, while the second lasts throughout August. Stores are usually open until midnight and discounts can reach up to 80%!

Most of the shops in Valencia participate in the Tax Free scheme. All you need to do to claim your VAT is to make a purchase of 90 EUR or more, bring your passport and make out a receipt.
