Since Heraklion is the capital of Crete, accommodation prices here are a bit high (for the same money on the south or west coast of the island you can find more interesting options). The average cost of accommodation in Heraklion in the central area is 70-120 EUR (per night in a double hotel in Heraklion 3-4 stars), you can also find 3-star economy class hotels (up to 80 EUR per night) or stay in a 2-star hotel (40-50 EUR).
A night in one of the mid-range beach hotels will cost from 25 EUR (in aparthotels) to 70-80 EUR. A night in all-inclusive hotels will cost 90-140 EUR. The most inexpensive accommodation in Heraklion is in apartments under the town (25-60 EUR).
As a Cretan exotic, we can recommend renting a room in a botel - you will have at your disposal several cabins, a galley, a bathroom and a guest area in a moored ship (some hotels, for example, M/Y Andrieta, offer free breakfast products). Such a pleasure costs 150-700 EUR.
