You can see all the sights of the city in a few hours, so instead of a standard sightseeing tour of Kos, it is advised to go on a walking tour. We recommend dedicating the first days of your vacation to this, and then go on a trip around the whole island.
The main points of the Kos walking route are: the Hippocrates Platanus, the Old Town, the Agora Market, Eleftheria Square, the Ottoman mosque and the Odeon Music Theater.
Nature lovers are invited to visit the Plaka Pine Park, home to peacocks as well as geese, turtles, dogs and cats. Admission is free, but there is a fundraising box for the animals in one of the meadows. It is best to visit in the morning, when the peacocks are hungry and therefore more sociable, or in the evening, when there are fewer people.
