Mykonos water temperature
The Aegean Sea is a semi-enclosed (between the Balkan Peninsula, Asia Minor and the island of Crete) sea of the eastern part of the Mediterranean basin. The Aegean Sea is considered colder than other Greek seas. The sea is warmest from June to September (about +25°C). From the beginning of October, the water gradually cools down and in November it is +20-21°C.
In winter, the temperature in the Aegean drops to +16-17°C.
In May, the Aegean Sea water temperature is already high enough to open the full beach season, enjoying the beauty of the bright blue sea, golden sand and picturesque landscapes.
