The cozy town of Sanremo is located on the western coast of the Ligurian Sea. Like most Italian coastal cities, Sanremo boasts a rich history. It was built during the reign of Ancient Rome, and the architectural monuments that have survived to this day testify to this.
In the early 19th century, Sanremo's fame began to grow rapidly as European aristocracy started using it as a seaside resort. Sanremo was also highly appreciated by the Russian nobility, including the most distinguished families. As a reminder of those times, palaces in the coastal part of the city and even a church built in the classical Russian style have been preserved.
Sanremo is rightfully called the City of Flowers. The number of gardens, flower beds, and flower beds here exceeds all expectations. Magnificent rose gardens add a special romantic touch to the city. You can fully appreciate it by strolling through the intertwining streets of the La Pigna district, the city's historical center.

The locals refer to their town as a 'retirement paradise'. Sanremo really does give the impression of a once glittering and respectable dandy, now a retired nobleman. It is very quiet and peaceful: expensive yachts and boats of local fishermen rock in the port, white villas are bathed in cypress greenery and carnations bloom all year round. Well, our mothers and grandmothers know Sanremo for its famous song festival - the same one that launched Andrea Bocelli, Toto Cutugno and Adriano Celentano into the world!
