Public transport in Sanremo includes buses and trolleybuses. The latter are considered a local attraction: they serve both the city and intercity routes, allowing travel to places like Ventimiglia (route V) or Taggia (route T). Trolleybuses that operate only within Sanremo are marked with the letter U.
Buses in Sanremo mostly duplicate the trolleybus routes (U route runs less frequently). Ticket prices range from 1.80 to 2.50 EUR (buying from the driver is 0.50–1 EUR more expensive). Current schedules and other useful information can be found on the official website of the municipal carrier.
Taxis in Sanremo can be ordered by phone (Radio Taxi: +39 010 5966). A 2–3 km ride will cost around 9–12 EUR. Fares may increase at night or on public holidays.
Tickets are available at newspaper stands and tobacco shops (Tabacchi), as well as via Riviera Trasporti mobile apps. If you're planning multiple trips per day, consider getting a day pass (~5 EUR), which allows unlimited travel for one day.
