Calella is located in a subtropical Mediterranean climate zone with sunny summers and warm winters. The air temperature in Calella in the hottest months averages +28°C, in December-January it rarely drops below +15°C, despite the gusty winds coming from the Mediterranean Sea.
The tourist season in Calella lasts from April to October. At this time there is a minimum level of precipitation (up to 40 mm per month on average), the maximum number of sunny days (up to 140 for the entire period) and comfortable temperatures (6-7 degrees higher than in cities located on the Atlantic coast of Spain).
The mild climate of Calella determines the lush diversity of nature of the province. Its landscape is formed by valleys with tropical vegetation, rocky slopes covered with juniper bushes, prickly wood and tamarisk, as well as "spread out", as if the fingers of a giant, bays surrounded by a ring of coral reefs.
