Calella is easy to navigate: the town sits at the foot of a hill with the famous Les Torretes twin towers on the Mediterranean coast. From any of its points you can clearly see either the Les Torretes observation deck or the emerald water: in clear weather, the view is at least 30 kilometers in each direction.
Nevertheless, a map of Calella will never be out of place for both experienced travelers and tourists discovering the beauty of the Costa del Maresme for the first time.

Calella is a wonderful town stretching along the Costa del Maresme for more than two kilometers. Conventionally, it is customary to distinguish three zones: the historical center around the Town Hall Square, where the Parish Church of St. Mary and other attractions are located, the Mediterranean residential area of Calella, closely approaching from the north-east to the Pineda de Mar, and the tourist part of the city with new buildings, hotels and entertainment complexes.
There are no dangerous areas in Calella, so every traveler can freely choose in which area of Calella to stay: in a cozy settlement with snow-white villas or in the city of glass and metal. It should be remembered that the division of the resort area is rather conventional: the historical districts in the center of Calella closely adjoin the modern hotels of the coastal strip.
