Although Eilat has no historical attractions, there is plenty to see. In particular, the natural beauty and amazing scenery of the area is impressive. So don't forget to bring your camera when traveling.
The sights of Eilat are conditionally divided into those that are within the city limits, those on the western shore of the Gulf of Eilat and those in the vicinity of the city (20-40 km). Their choice depends on the age and interests of tourists.
Underwater Observatory. Many call it the main attraction of Eilat. It is a complex of aquariums with strange fish and corals, pools with sharks, stingrays and huge turtles, and there is also a pavilion with crocodiles and snakes. But the most interesting thing is the opportunity for everyone to go down the steps underwater to a depth of 8 meters. You will see a hall that only glass will separate you from the beauty of the Red Sea.
Dolphin Reef. On the western shore of the Gulf of Eilat is another of the attractions - Dolphin Reef Reserve. There you can meet friendly dolphins, watch them feeding and playing, and swim with them. In addition, you can observe the dolphins' habits from the shore or from the floating wooden bridges that extend several dozen meters into the sea. You can also stroll among the tropical plants and admire the peacocks.
Timna Park. The next attraction impresses with the beauty of the desert, the majesty of the mountains, the history of the East, stones of bizarre shapes, as well as unforgettable landscapes. "Timna Park" is located 30 kilometers from Eilat and occupies a very large area. So, for example, it is possible to move from one site to another only by transportation.
Red Canyon. In the mountains of Eilat, there is a very interesting place where you can take stunning photos. You'll get a panoramic view of a dried-up river that has been carving its way through the rocks for centuries, carving and polishing a masterpiece.
Coral Reef. In Eilat, the coral reef is a three-kilometer-long natural area. Be sure to see all this beauty by renting a snorkel and mask and diving underwater with an experienced instructor. There is a fee to enter.
Camel Farm. Animal lovers will squeal with delight when visiting the camel farm, which is located between Eilat and the Egyptian city of Taba. Here you can not only meet these kind animals, but also ride one of them through the mountains adjacent to the city. Also, everyone can taste delicacies made from goat's milk.
Eilat Stone Museum. Eilat is home to the Eilat Stone Museum, a rare blue-green veined semiprecious stone (a mixture of chrysocolla, lapis lazuli, and malachite). There's also a factory-shop in town where Eilat stone is processed and then sold as stunning jewelry made from it.
