Zakopane has a huge number of restaurants (they are called taverns), cafes, bars. There are also several good supermarkets, grocery stores, where tourists who live in apartments buy everything they need.
Tourists say that the only place in Zakopane where you can taste authentic Guralsk cuisine is Bakowo Zalylina restaurant. There you can taste Grzan beer (warm beer with raspberry syrup) and Grzan wine (heated wine with spices). We also recommend tasting Mud Pitny (honey wine with cloves) and traditional Gural tea (regular tea with lemon, where you should add 40 grams of pure alcohol).
The peculiarity of catering in Zakopane is that even the best restaurants include in their menu both very expensive and cheap dishes (which are not inferior in taste).
Inexpensive restaurants in Zakopane are usually located near the elevators, to offer their services to tired skiers.
Prices in restaurants in Zakopane pleasantly surprise with their democratic prices. For example, a dinner with excellent Żywiec beer and dessert will cost you 20-30 PLN per person. A good option for breakfast or dinner is the tavern buffet, where the general price is 3 PLN for 100g of any meal on your plate. The sumptuous goulash soups at 8-12 PLN, sausages at 10 PLN, meatloaf or skillet with meat, side dishes and salad at 2,530 PLN make up for the high cost of hard liquor and exclusive salads.
The best cafe in Zakopane recognized cocktail bar Zakopanski on Krupowki Street. Note that the prices in Zakopane cafes are even more attractive than in restaurants, which does not affect the quality and taste of the offered dishes.
