Professional skiers usually arrive on the slopes with their own carefully selected and perfectly fitted gear. For amateurs, Zakopane offers a well-developed rental service — equipment rental points are available at nearly all ski resorts in the area.
Experienced visitors recommend renting equipment away from the ski lifts — in the town center or on the outskirts. There, a full ski set can be rented for an average of 35 to 50 PLN per day. Near the lifts, prices are higher — from 30 PLN per hour or 70 PLN per day. Renting equipment for several days is more economical — prices drop to around 60–65 PLN per day.
