Thanks to its temperate oceanic climate, the weather in La Baule is subtle. Unlike the Côte d'Azur, even at the height of the 'high season' (mid-June to late September) the 14-day weather forecast rarely promises sweltering heat.
La Baule's weather is characterized by fairly mild winters and similarly mild summers. It's true that the period from January to March is the rainiest - it can rain for 3, 5 days or a week. But it will not spoil the impression of the resort. But frosts in La Baule, as well as excessively hot days, are very rare guests. Average annual air temperatures in the city range from +20-22°C, while water temperatures in the Atlantic Ocean and La Baule Bay are +15-17°C.
La Baule's flora and fauna.
La-Bol is located in a unique natural zone with a humid climate, within which there are four nature reserves. Most of the animals and plants of this region are listed in the Red Book. The peculiarity of La Baule is its location - it is surrounded by salt marshes on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. These conditions are a paradise for conifers, especially pines and firs. Today, the forest in and around La Baule covers about 850 hectares. In addition to pine, poplar and alder grow here. The red-leaved trees, which burn ruby-colored in the sun, are an undoubted decoration of the town.
Family members of the fauna in this region can be found small loon, teal, polar tern, moorhen, tufted cormorant and great sea gull.
