La Baule: city map, main districts and tourist spots

To get to know La Baule better, check out its map.

If you look at a map of La Baule, you will notice the main feature: like many other resorts, the town is stretched along the coast. Romantic French people called this 9-kilometer beach zone "The Coast of Love" - it is so picturesque.

The closer to the water, the more expensive local hotels are (get ready to pay most of all for rooms on the first shoreline overlooking the ocean). On the map of La Baule with hotels, the waterfront area (a hub of casinos, fashionable hotels, art galleries and all kinds of entertainment), as well as Thalasso La Baule Avenue Marie-Louise (in the Royal Hotel) and Thalasso Baule-les-Pins (in the middle of Baule Bay) deserve the most attention.

Despite the fact that the territory of a relatively small resort accommodates 50 beaches, 30 districts, 6 fishing harbors and hundreds of picturesque alleys, it is not reasonable to divide La Baule into thematic districts. Moreover, this resort has gained fame, first of all, thanks to two giant centers - Thalgo La Baule Avenue Marie-Louise, located in the same building with the Royal Hotel, and Thalasso Baule-les-Pins, rising in the middle of the bay of La Baule. These centers are considered a kind of Mecca for fans of all kinds of rejuvenating and recovery procedures. Sea pools, whirlpools and showers, saunas and Turkish baths, programs for young mothers - even Cleopatra could not dream of such an abundance of procedures. Not to mention the programs for treatment of musculoskeletal apparatus diseases and relaxation courses.

From the tourist point of view, in addition to thalassotherapy centers, the most interesting areas are considered to be Baule-les-Pins quarter in the center of La Baule, Ocean Boulevard, the promenade with entertainment venues, the fish market and the suburb of Pornichet (Plage de Bonne Source beach). The latter can be called a neighborhood in which it is better to stay for family tourists. By the way, from Pornichet to La Baule you can get on a steam train, one of the most popular attractions for children.

La Baule also has a recreational zone, represented by the parks Bois des Aulnes, Victory, Parc des Dryades, Tropicarium Bonsai, the historical part, where you can get acquainted with examples of church art of the Middle Ages, as well as the so-called cultural zone, where art galleries and all kinds of museums are concentrated.

But still the most prestigious area of La Baule, in which it is better to live, is considered the coastal zone. Luxury hotel complexes with amazing beaches, fashionable villas surrounded by gardens, restaurants, casinos, boutiques, tennis courts - an unforgettable experience 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is guaranteed!

There are no dangerous neighborhoods in La Baule - like other resort towns, there is a calm relaxed atmosphere.
