Excursions can be categorized into several types:
- sightseeing tours in La Baule: a guide will tell you about the history of the city's foundation, local traditions and the most interesting places. Instead of a walking tour, you can take a steam train ride around the city (not available from November 15 to December 15 and in January). Making 10 stops in the most significant tourist places of the city (for example, near the casino or the port), the steam train is considered both excursion and public transport. In July and August you can ride it to the neighboring suburbs - Pouligen and Le Croisic. The ticket price depends on the distance - from 2 to 10 EUR;
- bus tours outside La Baule. The most popular route is to the suburb of Pornichet (Pornichet) - a small picturesque village with a deep-water port for sailing boats, the medieval town of Guerande (Guerande) and the castle Careil (Careil), built in the period from XIV to XVI centuries. And for fans of frog legs we recommend to visit the lake St. André de l'Eau. The price of the excursion - from 16-25 EUR per person;
- Russian sea excursions from the port of Pouliguen - the center of coastal fishing, private boats and yachts;
In addition, the brightest impressions from the rest in La Baule can be obtained during a flight on a sports plane over the bay and salt fields (cost - from 1500 EUR, 2-3 persons).
