In addition to beach relaxation and sightseeing, the resort offers plenty of other entertainment options.
Theatrical and musical evenings
Tickets for concerts and other performances at the famous Nice Opera range from 22 to 115 EUR. You can also visit the National Conservatory of the Region (Le Conservatoire national de région) or attend a play at the National Theatre of Nice (Théâtre national de Nice).
Festivals and other public events
Such events take place in Nice throughout the year. For example, in February there’s a carnival, in March — a fair, in April — a short film festival, in June — a book festival, in July and August — jazz festivals, in September — a harbor festival, and in November — a contemporary music festival. The city also hosts popular regattas, horse races, and other sports competitions.
Among the adult entertainment options in Nice are casinos, cabarets, bars, and nightclubs. One of the most popular among young people is L’Ambassade, where, as in many other places, strict face control applies. Dressing elegantly is customary at the resort. Many well-known bars are located within major hotels, while prestigious clubs and discos are concentrated in the Old Town area and near the Promenade des Anglais. Complete information about Nice’s nightlife can be found in the weekly brochure Le Semaine des Spectacles, available at newspaper kiosks.
