Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport is located almost on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea along the Promenade des Anglais of Nice. Nice Airport has two operating terminals. Free shuttles run between them every 5-7 minutes.
The distance from the airport Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur to the center of Nice is about 7 km. Travel time by car to the center is about 10 minutes. Nice airport also offers easy access to Monaco, St Tropez and some Italian cities.
How to get to the city center of Nice
Public transportation
Tram
Tram route 2 takes you from Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport to Place Jean Medicine.
Where to find: The streetcar stop is located at exit 2 of Terminal 1 and exit 0 of Terminal 1.
Trip time: 25 minutes.
Schedule: from 6:10 on all days, Sunday through Thursday until 20:25, Friday and Saturday until 00:10. Streetcars typically run every 10 minutes.
Fare: travel between Terminals 1 and 2, Grand Arena stop is free. You can pay for the onward journey (1 EUR) in advance at ticket offices or terminals located at the airport itself or around the city.
Nice center ville Direct bus
To get to the center of Nice from the airport at almost any time of day, the municipality has launched a special bus route. The final stop of the route is the Lycée Massena. A detailed description of the route can be found on the site.
Where to find: The stop is located at Terminal 1 Exit 7 and Terminal 2 Exit 5.
Trip time: 20 minutes.
Schedule: The bus runs from Terminal 2 from 5:40 to 23:45 every 20-40 minutes. It also passes Terminal 1 (after 15 minutes).
Fare: 1,5 EUR. You can buy a bus ticket at the ticket office or terminal at the airport.
City bus
As of mid-2019, popular routes #98 and #99 have been canceled due to an increase in the number of streetcars running. The routes that continue to operate are #23, #52, #59, and #70.
Where to find: The Aéroport Promenade stop is located next to the airport building.
Travel time: 20 minutes.
Operation schedule: 6:00 am to 8:00 pm every 10 to 20 minutes.
Fare: 1,5 EUR. You can buy tickets at the ticket office at the airport or on the website.
Train
A quick and easy train or train ride from Nice Nys Saint-Augustin train station to the city center. You can check the train schedule on the site. There is also an option to purchase tickets there. Travel vouchers are also sold at the train station ticket office.
Where to find it: Nice train station can be reached on foot in 10 minutes or by taking streetcar 2 from Terminal 1 of the airport.
Trip time on the train: 5 minutes.
Train schedule: from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm every 30 minutes.
Fare: 1,9 EUR.
Taxi
The fastest and most convenient way to get from the airport to the center of Nice, especially if you have a lot of luggage, is by cab.
Where to find: near Terminal 1 Gate 1 and Terminal 2 Gate 3 (look for the "Taxi" sign).
Cost: during the day (7:00 to 21:00) from 22 to 30 EUR, at night - from 27 to 32 EUR (excluding luggage). The exact amount will be indicated by the meter.
Car rental
If you wish, you can always rent a car at the airport. The A8 highway passes close to the Côte d'Azur airport.
Where to book: the car rental office is located at the airport near Terminal 1. You can book online (e.g. rentalcars).
Cost: Economy car (sedan) can be rented from 30 EUR per day.

How to get to Nice train station and bus station
There is no official autobus station in Nice.
It takes 10 minutes to walk from the airport to the Nice Saint-Augustin train station in Nice. The same distance can be covered by streetcar number 2 to the stop "Grand Arena". The travel time is about 5 minutes.
