Historical Background
The botanical garden began its existence in the late 19th century. At that time, on a small territory near his home, the nobleman Mikhail D'Alfons, a decorator and gardener, created the park.
Today, the botanical garden has grown to enormous proportions, and its unique inhabitants are increasing in number. The park, where it all began, can be seen by anyone and is called the Lower Park.
The garden was founded in 1912. At that time, the gifted botanist Andrey Krasnov was engaged in breeding and adapting plants from New Zealand, East Asia, North and South America, the Himalayas, Australia, and the Mediterranean region to this area.
Botanical Garden Area
The Botanical Garden is located in the village of Mtsvane Konchhi (Green Cape). The garden covers an impressive area of 113 hectares and showcases a variety of flora, including bushes, trees, and grasses.
