Zoo in Batumi

We will tell you what you can see in Batumi Zoo and how to get there.

The Batumi Zoo is not a very popular place to visit, which is quite strange considering that it houses a fairly diverse fauna on its small territory. Here, you can see exotic animals and birds, and if you have come to Batumi with a child, you simply must visit the zoo.

Zoo Residents

The zoo is very small and its territory is divided into three zones: primates and birds, marsupials, and ungulates. It will be enjoyable not only for children but also for adults. You will see graceful antelopes, kangaroos, monkeys, and ponies, and also get acquainted with the adorable lemurs.

The zoo inhabitants are calm and well-kept. The enclosures have small houses where the animals can hide. The territory is well-maintained, so there are no unpleasant odors. There are very few people in the zoo; for some reason, it doesn't attract many tourists. In the heat, the zoo residents lie in the grass and seek shade to cool down. They live here throughout the year. The zoo owners plan to create a children's petting corner where young visitors can feed and take care of the animals.

In addition, there is an aviary where you can freely admire various birds such as pelicans, ducks, peacocks, quails, and swans. The swans are the owners of a small pond with a bridge where they like to swim. Moreover, there are colorful and cheerful parrots here as well.
